Dock Checklist

Dock Checklist

Below is a series of questions we ask to ensure we will design and build the dock that you desire now and for the future. Please answer the questions and we will get started building your project from conception to completion. If you have time, we would be more than willing to meet in person to start the process and fill this out together.

  • Please be aware under “Uniform Docking & Mooring Law (UDML)” all permanent docks shall be 10’ from water right survey “facility lines”. This must be completed prior to building permit approval and could change the proposed design. Worden Hill Marine will schedule and coordinate this process.
  • Max Allowed of deck space is 720 square feet with a max appendage of 256 square feet and you are allowed up to two appendages a “typical dock walkway is 6’ by X” (Please note 50% of the deck area must remain open). The maximum dock length is 60 feet or until the water depth is 3 feet at low lake level. We can design to the maximum allowed square footage if desired, however usually the cost can outweigh the benefit.
  • If you have more than 100 feet, then you would be allowed two docks of 720 square feet each, or one combined dock of 1080 square feet.
  • Decking material choices – Worden Hill will provide a range of samples to help make the final decision. We are looking for this information to help with the budget pricing.
  • Deck lights (low voltage LED marker lights)
  • New dock with hoist. Please note the same “UDML” apply. If this is not applicable no response required.
  • If yes to ceiling (two recessed lights are included)
